2008 ICOWHI Congress
July 9-11, 2008
Gaborone, Botswana

It is with a great deal of pleasure that we write to notify you of the exciting conference planned by our Women's Health colleagues in Gaborone, Botswana, to be held July 9-11, 2008. This is the 17th Congress sponsored by the International Council on Women's Health Issues (ICOWHI) and the theme is Women's Health Across the Life Span: The Girl Child, Safety, Health and Development. Here are some important facts:

  • This is an interdisciplinary gathering, co-hosted by the University of Botswana
  • ICOWHI Congresses attract participants from at least 20-30 countries
  • Issues related to the "girl child," health, education, caregiving, infections, disability, trafficking, violence, pregnancy, HPV, etc. across the life span are top priority and must be addressed
  • Botswana is a rich and exciting country to visit with amazing game reserves
  • Abstract submissions due date is December 15, 2007

And, your friends and colleagues want to see you there. Please review the brochure, call for abstracts, and safari options; send an abstract; and register for the Congress.

Our very best regards,
